Indeed, the economic downturn, continuing wars, stalled health reform, and changing climate have us all feeling a little disheartened.

However, despite all the problems facing us, we live in an era of unprecedented opportunity. There are simple, innovative ways for individual students to help out, even beyond participating in organized events or groups.

In this spirit, Jacob Foskuhl and I, being the intelligent and good looking folks that we are, will use this blog to explore different ways the average OSU student can lend a hand in their communities, become more civically engaged and politically aware, and save the world from imminent destruction.

I’ll be highlighting different ways people can serve our community, country, and world on a practical, nonpartisan, individual level, and Jake will be focusing on how we can get involved in different political issues that affect us all.

We’ll try our best to update this blog with some regularity, and we encourage anyone who has a good idea or creative solution to join in.

Best of luck, see you all soon,

~Mike Triozzi

“Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little.” ~Edmund Burke
